The Império Serrano announced this Saturday (18) that the samba artist Arlindo Cruz will be the theme of the samba school in 2023.

"Tell him it's him! He's the biggest! History starts to be written today!", read a post on the school's social network.

In 2023, the Império Serrano will be back among the samba elite. Verde e Branca de Madureira was the champion of the Gold Series and will parade in the Special Group. Lugares de Arlindo is the title of the plot, based on the artist's hit song, “Meu Lugar”. The story will travel through moments and spaces where the singer-songwriter made history, such as in Bloco Cacique de Ramos and in the Madureira neighborhood.
