Already scheduled for July 2021 the carnival of RJ, ten samba schools of the Special Group have already released the plots. The Rio de Janeiro Samba Schools Independent League (Liesa) decided to postpone the Carnival parades of the Rio Special Group next year because of the coronavirus pandemic. The decision came unanimously, after a meeting at the league's headquarters in the Center. Schools have decided that the event will not take place in February.

• Unidos da Tijuca: "Wanarã - the red reexistence"
