Draw of Liesa has exchange-exchange and Martinho da Vila closing

The Independent League of Samba Schools (Liesa) held this Monday afternoon (14) the draw to define the order of the parades. The novelty, in addition to the time of the draw - traditionally held in the middle of the year - is the date of the next Carnival. If there is health security, the schools will perform on July 11 and 12, 2021. The closing of the possible off-season party will be in charge of Martinho da Vila.

Noel's blue and white took the position desired by most samba schools: she will be the last to parade on Monday in Grupo Especial. The last time that Vila passed by Avenida closing the second day was in 2013, when it won the dispute. The curiosity is that his other title, from 1988, happened in the same parade position: 6th school on Monday. The difference is that the association has not ended.

How was the draw
Liesa brought together the presidents of the 12 special group associations to draw the parade position. Only 10 schools participated in the raffle, since Imperatriz (for having graduated from Grade A) and Paraíso do Tuiuti (for being in the penultimate position) already had a set parade date.

At first, the associations went to the globe to dispute, with their peers, who took the biggest ball. The school with the largest number would choose the day of the parade - they all chose Monday. The pairs respected the classification of the last Carnival and were as follows:

Viradouro x Grande Rio - Grande Rio won
Youth vs Beija-Flor - Youth won
Salgueiro x Vila Isabel - Vila Isabel won
Mangueira x Portela - Portela won
Tijuca vs São Clemente - Tijuca won

With the days set, schools returned to the globe to mark their position. After the second stage, the associations had about 10 minutes to change. São Clemente, which had fallen to close Carnival Sunday, was coveted by Salgueiro (2nd position), Mangueira (3rd position) and Beija-Flor (4th position). After denying the first two, he agreed to switch to blue and white, which for the 4th time in five years will end one of the parade days.

Without success with São Clemente, Mangueira and Salgueiro exchanged for reasons of concentration preference - even numbers are in Balança; odd, Post Office. In the second, also in terms of concentration, Mocidade switched with Tijuca.
