THE ORDER OF THE CARNIVAL 2023 PARADES will be defined on the 11

The draw to define the order of the 2023 carnival parades will be on July 11 at 9 pm, the announcement was made on the night of this Thursday, the 9th, by the president of LIESA, Jorge Perlingeiro, during a meeting held in Cidade do Samba . Perlingeiro clarified that, as in previous years, the draw will be defined through five pairs, aiming at the balance of forces in the two days of show. The presidents received a proposal for the formation of these five pairs and will have until July 4th to present suggestions.

According to the Parade Regulations, two Associations already have defined positions: Império Serrano, champion of the Gold Series Access Group, and Paraíso do Tuiuti, 11th in the Special Group, in 2022. Império Serrano will be responsible for opening the Sunday parades, on 2/19, and Tuiuti will be the first to show on Monday, 2/20.

In the drawing of each pair, the School whose representative takes the ball with the highest number (from 1 to 10), will choose the day of the parade. Then there will be a drawing of the order of parade (balls from 2 to 6) between Sunday Schools and Monday Schools. The Regulation gives a period of 10 minutes, after the draw, for possible exchanges between Associations that will parade on the same day.
