Liesa (Independent League of Samba Schools in Rio de Janeiro) set the date for the parades of the associations in 2021.

The Special Group schools scheduled their presentations for July 10 and 11 - if the vaccine against covid-19 is available by then. The president of Liesa, Jorge Castanheira, said that the schools await other definitions with the party's partners, such as TV Globo and the Government of Rio de Janeiro.

According to him, “We are working to see the basic conditions to be able to hold the event in July. “We will continue in a permanent meeting, knowing the schools' willingness to do the show in July, depending, of course, on the vaccine. Now let's take the other steps: seek a choice of samba, obviously at the right time, make the draw. If we have a vaccine and immunization in July, schools are ready, said the president of Liesa Castanheira.
